Audiovisual & Screen Translation
Subtitles, dubbing scripts, video game localisation, and streaming content translation with native-language quality and technical precision.
About this service
Audiovisual translation has technical constraints that no other translation category has. Subtitles must fit within character-per-line limits and reading speed guidelines while preserving the meaning of dialogue that was originally written to be spoken, not read. Dubbing scripts must align to mouth movements and breath points. Game localisation has to work within character limits, memory constraints, and the coherence requirements of a branching narrative. These are specialist skills, not general translation.
Our audiovisual translators have been trained in their specific format. A subtitle translator understands reading speed calculation, line breaking, and the conventions of different platform and broadcast delivery specifications. A game localisation specialist understands branching dialogue, in-game UI constraints, and how to maintain character consistency across 85,000 words of non-linear content. We do not mix these disciplines.
Services include subtitle files in SRT, VTT, EBU-STL, and platform-specific formats, dubbing scripts for film and television, voice-over scripts for corporate and promotional video, video game localisation including dialogue, UI strings, help text, and XLIFF delivery, streaming content for OTT platforms, corporate and training video subtitling, and documentary and factual content.
Delivery is format-specific. For streaming platforms, we deliver to their technical specifications. For game engines, we deliver in the format compatible with your pipeline. For broadcast, we deliver to the specifications of the relevant broadcast authority.
